CAYM's New Exectutive Director

The Christian Association of Youth Mentoring (CAYM)—the nation’s leader in faith-based mentoring program start-up, strategy, and support—is excited to announce the hiring of Todd Kleppin as the new Executive Director.  Todd lives in the Tri-Cities of Washington State and has recently worked for Communities In Schools, following his role as founder and Executive Director of Ignite Youth Mentoring.  At Ignite, Todd built a well-known and respected program that reached 100 ongoing mentor matches within the first 5 years.  He previously served as a Pastor of Student Ministries for 17 years in churches around the Northwest United States.

Todd brings new energy and experience in non-profit start-up, as well as strong communications and marketing skills that led him to significant partnerships with churches, schools, law enforcement, government, youth and family agencies, and the business community. CAYM’s Executive Director for the past 10 years, Peter Vanacore, MSW, will move into the President’s position and continue to anchor the organization.  His leadership and expertise has created a strong training and support network throughout the country that will continue to expand.

CAYM has worked with individuals, churches, and non-profits in 46 states – planting new mentoring programs, training staff and volunteers, providing curriculum, and offering consulting support.  (These services were the foundational blocks as Todd launched and directed Ignite Youth Mentoring, often called the “poster child” for CAYM’s work.)  CAYM also partners with some of the nation’s top faith-based organizations, including Youth For Christ and Summit Ministries, in addition to state and local government agencies and Promise Keepers Canada.
