Whether you’re starting a new mentoring ministry or strengthening an existing one, CAYM Certification provides a clear pathway forward.
Our team brings nearly 30 years of mentoring experience. Since 2005 we have helped hundreds of churches and nonprofits—across the U.S. and globally—build safe, effective, and sustainable mentoring programs.
Research consistently shows that mentoring programs that do not follow established best practices can unintentionally harm youth.

Each certification includes one year of CAYM membership upon completion of the training phase.
Three Levels of Certification to support your ministry:
Bronze Certification
This online training and coaching is designed for small churches. It takes teams through the process of designing the program, learning the practices and tools of safe and effective mentoring and coached implementation for one year as the ministry begins. After a year, a CAYM coach will take your team through our Bronze Quality Assurance Accreditation process to ensure that the ministry remains on target.
Cost: $4,990
Silver Certification
This certification includes an onsite program design including a community assessment and the development of a strategic plan facilitated by CAYM staff. The onsite design and training will be followed by one year of online coaching for your mentoring leadership team through the implementation phase. After a year, a CAYM coach will take you through a Silver Quality Assurance Accreditation process to ensure that the ministry remains on target.
Cost: $9,990*
Gold Certification
This involves all the elements of the Silver certification along with an onsite two-day Gold Quality Assurance review that will assess your program’s compliance with best practices and program effectiveness. This is our highest certification which gives confidence to your churches, families, and insurance companies that mentees will be safe in your care. CAYM coaching continues for 15 months with this package.
